500 children from 68 schools of Delhi participated in Children's Social Conclave at Gandhi Darshan near Rajghat - Vijay Goel

Delhi Public School RK Puram won the Vasudaiva Kutumbhakam Children Social Conclave Rolling Trophy

Through Children's Social Conclave, we are taking Gandhian constructive program forward among children - Vijay Goel

To make school children understand the importance of G20, and celebrate India’s presidency, Children's Social Conclave was organised on 6th May, 2023 by Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti and Action Committee of Unaided Recognized Private Schools at Gandhi Darshan Rajghat. More than 500 children from around 68 schools in Delhi and NCR participated in the event. Former Union Minister and Vice Chairman of Gandhi Smriti Vijay Goel inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

Delhi Public School RK Puram secured first position in this competition. Vidya Bharti School Rohini got the second position, and Adhaarsheela Vidyapeeth and Shri Ram Shiksha Mandir Senior Secondary School got the third position respectively. Apart from this, three consolation prizes were also awarded.

Vijay Goel said that the purpose of the conclave is to promote the feeling of unity and interconnectedness among the children. It is an attempt to bring children in a single platform to learn, and engage with each other on important issues related to environment, peace and social justice.

Goel said that we have chosen the theme of G-20 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' because it conveys the idea that despite differences in culture, language and religion, we are all connected by the responsibility of humanity, security and mutual care .

Goel said that the program will also give participants an opportunity to learn from experts in the fields of environmental sustainability, social justice and peace-building, and have meaningful interactions with other children, and to reflect on Mahatma Gandhi's values such as non-violence, compassion and constructive social duty. You will also get inspiration to walk.

Speaking about the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vijay Goel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the President of G-20 countries and he is also the Chairman of Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti. Many works are being done to create awareness among the people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi always aware, encourage and motivate children and youth for a better, clean and green future, and we at Gandhi Darshan encourage children through these programs.

In the program, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Mrs. Indira Ganesh, Mrs. Lalima Aneja Dang, Mrs. Amita Joshi and Dr. Rama Negi were the jury members who gave direction to this competition which lasted for about eight hours
