The event brought together students and scholars from various institutions to reflect upon Gandhian philosophy and its contemporary relevance. The distinguished speakers at the colloquium included Prof. Bipin Tripathi, IIT Delhi, and Shri Pratap Behra, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, as the chief guests. In their addresses, both speakers highlighted the significance of Gandhi’s life as a continuous journey of self-examination, truth-seeking, and moral discipline.

Around 15–16 college teams participated in the colloquium and shared insightful interpretations of Gandhian values. The discussions explored themes such as the importance of truth, self-control, forgiveness, non-possession, and mental ahimsa. Participants also discussed Gandhi’s approach towards moral decision-making, self-reflection, and his courage to accept mistakes. Several teams examined the ethical implications of his life events, including his struggles, inner conflicts, and transformation through self-discipline. The discussions further highlighted Gandhi’s emphasis on responsible citizenship, social harmony, religious tolerance, and the need for personal integrity in public life.

Participants from Asian Law College highlighted ethical lessons such as bravery in vulnerability, mental ahimsa, and the principle of non-possession, emphasizing truth as the basis of self-questioning and moral self-control.

Students of Kirori Mal College traced the formative phases of Gandhi’s life—his childhood, education, Satyagraha, and return to India—showing how each stage shaped his ethical vision. Meanwhile, students from Zakir Husain College stressed self-management, emotional resilience, and the practical application of Gandhian values in everyday life.
